About Anne Your
Grief Coach

Hello I’m Anne

Anne in the kitchen making Pizza using a wooden rolling pin

I love travelling and have fallen in love with Italy, this time I was being taught how to make pizza and cook it in a wood fire oven!

I am passionate about providing support and helping my clients in overcoming the pain of losing a parent and guiding them in healing their broken heart. Witnessing their journey from unhappiness to happiness during our time together brings me immense joy.

Curiously, I was born on Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to love. It is only natural that I want nothing more than to see you experience love and happiness again.

There is a common belief that one never truly recovers from the loss of a loved one, that the heart remains broken and life is never the same. However, I wholeheartedly disagree with this notion. Through my nursing experience, I have witnessed the incredible healing power of the human body. If our bodies can heal, why not our hearts? I strongly believe that with understanding, self-reconnection, and guidance, you can overcome grief and rediscover life after loss – because I have personally gone through this journey myself.

As a lifelong learner, I felt compelled to explore further why I felt the way I did and how I could seek help to heal. This led me to pursue specialized training to become a grief coach. It is now my mission to uplift others during their most challenging times and help them reconnect with what truly matters. Giving back to the community and supporting charities is also close to my heart.

I am excited to learn more about you and look forward to embarking on this journey together.

My Background

I began my training as a Certified Grief Coach following a 32-year career in healthcare services. I have a nursing background and my love of learning has given her access to neuropsychology training and other grief-related and trauma topics.

Over the years I’ve worked as a volunteer with Bereaved Families of Ottawa and have been an invited speaker at their events. I was fortunate during Covid to train online to become a Grief Movement Guide and I’m also a host of a Podcast show where we discuss grief issues with many well-known grief personalities. To add to my accomplishments I’m a published author, having written, Grief’s Abyss, Finding Your Pathway to Peace.

The sudden death of my Dad led her on this journey to discover the healing I now share with others.  My clients tell me that I provide a compassionate and insightful approach in supporting them with their grief.

Anne is a compassionate, and competent coach. Her intelligence, caring and integrity of intention to make a real difference in the lives of others is evident.

With clarity and wisdom, she will be a strong gentle force in your personal healing.

Marianne Marsch, Nurse

Anne has a special knack for bringing out in her clients an unexpected depth of feeling.

I experienced her gentle compassion as she helped me in releasing an old wound and I was able to come to peace around it which was finally freeing for me.

Dhyanis Carniglia, Artist

When Anne zero’s in with the right question she was able to take me to where I knew what I was feeling. I realized how I’d been holding myself back from feeling joy because subconsciously I thought

“I can’t be happy if others are not”

Maggie Ferguson, Former Nurse

What Did You Want to Be?

My mum and aunt were both nurses, stands to reason I’d want to become one too.  Every Christmas I’d receive a new nurse outfit. Clearly, at 5 I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up! Life had other plans.

Unfortunately, a stay in the hospital to have my tonsils and adenoids removed turned me away from the profession.  You could say my first loss.  I’d eventually go into nursing to become a nurse in the OR.  Only to leave my first love behind as I was going through a divorce.  Loss #2. My life’s journey would have me experience many more losses and with each one more learning and a deeper understanding of our need to grieve.  Something at the time, I didn’t realize I was living life with unresolved grief until the death of our Dad.  Then my nursing education continued in earnest and the learning began.
